The Pittsburgh Mediation Center
(PMC):
Is a community-based non-profit
organization which offers mediation as a way of resolving conflicts
peacefully.
Helps people in conflict find a way to
talk with each other face-to-face and decide together how to settle their
differences.
Has trained mediators who assist
individuals and organizations in a mediation process which can result in
a written legal and binding agreement of solutions that meet everyone's
needs.
Provides confidential services that cost
less than going to court.
Mediates conflicts that include:
Neighbor/Neighbor, Landlord/Tenant, Youth/Adult, or
Employee/Employer.
Provides education and training workshops
that teach skills for managing conflict.
