During the 1935 reconstruction of Brookline Boulevard, the hillside that stood between Pioneer Avenue, Jillson Avenue was cut away and leveled for future home construction. Three duplex homes were built in 1950: 424/422, 420/418 and 416/414 Brookline Boulevard. The homes are shown below in 2013.
