Brookline News Agency - 1936

The Brookline News Agency, shown here in 1936, has been located on the 900 block of Brookline Boulevard since the early 1900s. The business was originally located at 920 Brookline Boulevard, as shown above. In 1973, a fire gutted the old building, along with the two others to the right. These buildings were razed, and in 1981 replaced by the Mazza Pavilion apartment complex.

After the fire, Newsies, as it is popularly known, moved to it's present location, next to Mazza Pavilion, at 908 Brookline Boulevard. The business is now called the Boulevard News and Variety Store.
