The Bungalow Life in Brookline

This is part of an advertising brochure put out by the Freehold Real Estate Company touting the Bungalow Life in Brookline. The Liberty Tunnels opened the area to rapid commercial and residential development and at one time Brookline was considered suburbia. It's distance from the city and the barrier of Mount Washington gave the South Hills a distinct character that seperated it from the bustling city. Real Estate developers used this suburban quality to attract new home owners.
