Women's Bowling League - 1944

The 1944 Brookline Women's Bowling League, gathered at the Cedars of Lebanon Hall on Brookline Boulevard. The Cedars of Lebanon building housed both a movie theatre and a banquet room. The women look like they are in for a nice evening out.

Remember that these are the days of Rosie the Riveter and maximum effort on the homefront to support the troops overseas fighting in World War II. Pittsburgh was in the forefront of this effort, forging the steel used to create the ships, tanks, cannon and shells that were so vital to the Allied war machine.

Are there any Rosie's in this bunch? Possibly, along with a few pretty fair ten-pin averages.
